This place is awesome. Bento box lunch special is a screaming deal.. This place has a comfortability to it that is hard to describe. I've only been once and it's not close to where I live but I'll be coming back for sure.

I might have a small sushi / salmon teriyaki addiction. I come here at least 1x/week maybe more. Especially on days where I got off work and just want something fast. I have looked at sushi places around portland and found it hard to find someone who makes Philadelphia rolls, until Sushi Kata! They even have Super Philly Rolls which they add salmon on top! For $10 I get 8 huge rolls that fills my belly up! If Im feeling like I want something different I go for the salmon teriyaki! The best part it takes them no more than 15 min to make! Obsessed! Ill update with pictures next time I remember, because I always dive into my food and forget

if you want to eat fish, they have fish and definitely don't skimp on the portions. If all you care about is the food tasting good and its reasonably priced and good portions, this is the sushi spot. If you want your food to look fancy and be expensive then i would recommend eating elsewhere. I'm not saying the sushi looks bad, sometimes the rolls are a little sloppy and fall apart. I love unagi and i love dragon rolls. Do NOT order the dragon roll here it makes me sad. Their salmon is really good though. Would recommend the spider roll. Side note: 4.7 stars on google with over 900 reviews! that would make this one of the best sushi shops in the Portland area. There are some restaurants that have 4.8-5 stars but significantly less reviews.

Solid go-to for yummy affordable lunch bento boxes like pork katsu. I love that it comes with a variety of tempuras, miso soup, California roll ans salad. I haven’t tried other dishes or the dinner bento yet but the pictures look delicious too.

I love the complimentary miso and salad. Service was friendly and attentive. I wasn't a fan of the nigiri (I'm super picky), but I really liked the taste and quality of the teriaki. The pacing of the dishes was off - apps came out after the mains - but they also came out hot and fresh. The favorite dish was the fried calamari - the most tender squid I've ever had. I would recommend the cooked dishes over the fish.

This was our second time here and both experiences were great. Love the service and the food. Both visits the restaurant was almost full. Everyone in our party was happy both visits.
